A Brief History of R.B.T.S Govt. Hom Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur.

Being a student, since 1970, a member of the teaching faculties since 1977 and principal since 31st May 1993 of this college I dare to write down a brief history of the college what ever I have learnt from my teachers.

Rai Bahadur Tunki Sah (RBTS) Govt. Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur(Bihar) was established in the year 1958 on 26th May. The foundation stone was laid down by the 1st President of India late Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Late Baidya Nath Prasad s/o Late Rai Bhadur Tunki Sah had shown the generously and courage to build a Homoeopathic Medical College when Homoeopathy was very much in its embryonic state in india.

He donated about 5 and half acres of land in the heart land of the city His continuous Positive efforts made the institution a cucleus College in the whole of Bihar, ultimately, its appreciable, infra structure attracted the Govt. of Bihar to take over of the College & Hospital.

Sri Nand Kumar Prasad Sah the then secretary of the college handed over the college to the govt. of Bihar on 01-04-1981 in full fledged running condition The exemplary sacrifice of this towering personality for the Cause of Homoeopathic education & treatment of the ailing mankind is a rarest of the rare type in this materialistic & self Cantered world. He always deserves a salute from the Homoeopathic fraternity.

Today Dr. Shyam Sundar Singh the Director, ISM Bihar is leaving no stone unturned to make the institution up to the mark.

I hope his continuous & hard working efforts will never go in vain, and he will prove this college one of the best Homoeo Medical College in India; with M.D (Hom) course; for which the efforts are being made.
